Research

Dr. Berman conducts applied research projects with the goal of informing violence prevention across the lifespan. Her research has been presented internationally, nationally, and regionally at professional conferences. She attends a violence research summit annually held by the National Partnership to Prevent Interpersonal Violence, an interdisciplinary, non-profit group. Dr. Berman’s ongoing research projects include the impact of adverse childhood experiences on physical and psychological health, the relationship between child victimization and trauma on child perpetration of violence, and the impact of child victimization and perpetration on adult victimization and perpetration.
